Y.E.Yang - (South Korea) HSBC Champions Sheshan International - Shanghai - China - 9th to 12th November, 2006 Yang Yong-Eun from Korea won the HSCB Champions at Sheshan International Golf Club in China with a final round of 69 and a two-stroke margin over World Number One Tiger Woods. Yang, who won the Kolon Hana Bank Korean Open on the Asian Tour and the Suntory Open on the Japan Golf Tour, both in September 2006, climbed to Nº 38th and a rise of 39 places.

Jose Manuel Lara - (Spain) UBS Hong Kong Open Hong Kong - Fanling - Hong Kong - 15th to 19th November, 2006 Jose Manuel Lara collected his maiden European Tour title with a wire-to-wire victory in the UBS Hong Kong Open. A final round of 69 for a 15 under par total of 265 earned the Spaniard a one stroke win over Filipino Juvic Pagunsan. Lara climbed 49 places to World Nº 78.

Justin Rose - (England) MasterCard Masters Huntingdale - Melbourne - Australia - 23rd to 26th November, 2006 Justin Rose claimed his first win in four years with a victory in the MasterCard Masters at Huntingdale Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia. A final round 73 to finish on 12 and Ernie Els won the South African Airways Open at Humewood GC, Port Elizabeth by three strokes from compatriot and overnight leader Trevor Immelman after a brilliant final round of seven under par 65 in blustery conditions.

Nathan Green - (Australia) Blue Chip New Zealand Open Gulf Harbour - Auckland - New Zealand - 30th to the 3rd December, 2006 Australian Nathan Green added another win to his European Tour total in New Zealand at Auckland. He arrived home with two strokes less than his nearest rivals grouped together which were Michael Campbell, Nick Dougherty, Marcus Frazer, Jarrod Moseley, Wade Ormsby and Brett Rumford.

Padraig Harrington - (Ireland) Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Old Course - St. Andrews - Carnoustie & Kingsbarns - Scotland - 5th to 8th October, 2006 Padraig Harrington from Ireland added yet another win to his total on the European Tour when he was victorious at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in Scotland. He came home with a comfortable five strokes lead over his nearest rivals grouped together, Bradley Dredge, Edward Loar and Anthony Wall.

Bradley Dredge - (Wales) Omega European Masters Crans-sur-Sierre - Crans Montana - Switzerland - 7th to 10th September, 2006 With a two stroke lead Bradley Dredge from Wales gained a win over his nearest combined players on the European Tour. They were Francisco Molinari from Italy and Marcel Siem from Germany. The win took the Welshman to Nº 64 with an improvement of 27 places.

Paul Casey - (England) HSBC World Match Play Championship Wentworth - Virginia Water - Surrey - England - 14th to 17th September, 2006 Paul Casey of England created another record-breaking episode in the long history of the HSBC World Match Play Championship over sun-drenched days at Wentworth Club when he gained his biggest victory in all of 43 finals. Casey defeated a battle-weary Shaun Micheel of the United States by a whole 10 and 8 margin over the West Course. Paul Caseys win took him to Nº 17 with a rise of 10 places. Shaun Micheel jumped 21 positions to Nº 56.

He finished five shots clear of Ignacio Garrido from Spain with Philip Price one shot further back. Ian Poulter moved back into the World Top 50 in 45th place.

Marc Warren - (Scotland) Scandinavian Masters Barseback - Malmo - Sweden - 3rd to 6th August, 2006 Marc Warren, winner of the 2005 Challenge Tour Rankings, won the Entercard Scandinavian Masters at Barseback Golf and Country Club. This was his maiden European Tour title with a play-off with Swedens Robert Karlsson. Marc Warren improved his position in the by 170 places to Nº 185 with the close field behind him was led by Richard Sterne from South Africa.

Simon Dyson - (England) The KLM Open Kennemer - Zandvoort - The Netherlands - 10th to 13th August, 2006 Englands Simon Dyson claimed his second title of the season when he beat Australian Richard Green at the first extra hole of a sudden-death playoff in The KLM Open at the Kennemer Golf & Country Club. Dyson improved his ranking by 33 positions to Nº 77. The final day ended in a playoff between Simon Dyson from England and Richard Green from Australia. One stroke further back was Damien McGrane from Ireland.

Tiger Woods - (USA) US PGA Championship Medinah - Illinois - USA - 17th to 20th August, 2006 Tiger Woods, who started the final round of the 88th US PGA Championship tied with Englands Luke Donald, closed with a 68 for an 18 under par total of 270 and a five stroke victory over Shaun Micheel with Donald, Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott, all sharing third place. His second Major Championship win of 2006 and his twelfth overall saw Tiger Woods extend his lead over Phil Mickelson to more than twelve average points.

Alejandro Canizares - (Spain) The Imperial Collection Russian Open Moscow - Russia - 17th to 20th August, 2006 Alejandro Canizares of Spain produced a magnificent final round performance at the Imperial Collection Russian Open in Moscow to win in just his third European Tour event as a professional with a five stroke lead over Davis Drysdale from Scotland. A further stroke back were Mikael Lundburg from Sweden and Gary Murphy from Ireland. He climbed to Nº 238 in the Ranking.

Phil Mickelson - (USA) Masters Tournament Augusta National - Augusta - Georgia - USA - 6th to 9th April, 2006 Phil Mickelson won the Masters Tournament at Augusta National by two strokes from Tim Clark with a final round of 69 for a 7 under par total. Phil Mickelsons second straight Major Championship win and his second straight tournament win placed him as World Number Two, a position he last occupied at the beginning of 2003. Tim Clarks finish placed him as World Nº 15, while Jose Maria Olazabal and Chad Campbell, in a group tied for third, moved into the World Top 15 in 12th and 14th positions respectively.

Geoff Ogilvy - (Australia) WGC - Accenture Match Play Championship La Costa - Carlsbad - California - USA - 22nd to 26th February, 2006 Geoff Ogilvy from Australia won his first World Golf Championships event by defeating Davis Love III, 3 and 2 in the 36 hole final. He set a record by playing a total of 129 holes during the tournament, the most by anyone in the eight-year history of the event, which included four consecutive overtime matches at the start of the week.
